Yeah, I'm kinda curious too :-) The Zemulator is a really nice setup but I am trying to figure out a cheaper setup that doesn't require an emulator. Ash is correct tho...to properly fine tune your car you must be able to get real-time traces and be able to change datasets without swapping PROM's out because of the K value, learning curve, etc. (plus it's a PITA).
The goal is to get trace info from the Consult port based on RPM/MAS voltages which should be enough to get a proper trace. Next is to be able to write static RAM into the NVRAM chip at will. This should acomplish the goal. I'll keep you posted.
